Greetings everyone. I've been a bit busy doing nothing, so I decided to do my job and update everybody.
As a child, I wasn't allowed to read any of the Harry Potter books because of the 'witchcraft' and all that rubbish. Well, before the last film comes out, I planned to read all of the books during summer break, but as of now, my goal will probably not be accomplish. I am currently on the fifth book (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix). I must say that I never really knew what the big deal was with the Harry Potter book series until I started reading it, and I must say that I'm glad I'm catching up on some of the most captivating writing I've ever laid eyes on. For one thing, I suppose one would consider the Harry Potter series a children's series, so it's a fairly easy read. Her writing is so direct, yet it's also quite subtle and as the tension builds, one will find it hard to realize that how entranced he's been. Also, the entire plot just fell into its right place too perfectly. One can read the first few books and say, "Sure, this is pretty interesting." However, like true followers, once the end is reached, the final cover will be closed and a silent stricken face will mould at the realization that it's the end.
Another important thing I must point out is that my POV is that of a person who has watched all the movies before reading the books. Hence, reading the books came a lot quicker and easier because I knew most of what was going to happen. But of course, the movies don't cover every single important detail that's written in the books. Yes, I became a bit disappointed with the movies, but I became more thrilled to know that there was more to the story than what a two-hour film could show.
Well, though I'm late in jumping on this phenomenal bandwagon, I'm still glad I did. After this last film comes out, the Potter hysteria will reach its final climax, but will still reside in all of our hearts. :)
I'm currently on page 362 on the fifth book and have a way to go. Time to finish this cup of tea (green tea with lemongrass and fresh lemon), scrape up other work, and return to such a crazy adventure ;)
